WHAT IS THE DINOS CIRCLE?

The concept of a circle is universal in sport. Anytime we come together as a group, when we are getting instruction, when we cheer, we find ourselves in a circle.  Using this concept, the Dinos Field Hockey Circle, we can recognize not only our direct team on the field.  But also those that are in our Alumni and supporters group, who may have stepped out of our on-field circle but link up around us to provide the support system and network that holds our team together.

The Dinos Circle is formed from our whole community, and all of our atheltes, past and present.

• The Dark Red Circle represents our Our current team.  Those student-athletes that are in the trenches now, working daily to represent our team, achieve our championship goals, and pursue success in their academic field of choice.
• The light red circle represents our current atheltes that are injured, focused on academics, or needing additional support.  They step into the circle and the circle closes around them, providing support and resources until they are ready to join us on the field again.
• The Grey Circle represents our Alumni, the legacy of our program, as well as parents and supporters.  Without you our circle cannot exist.  You hold us together, your ongoing commitment to our program, the Alumni Association, our team fundraising and simply your presence at the field, give us energy and allows us to do what we do.

In The Circle we stand together.  Shoulder to Shoulder.  Unified, linked, cohesive and together.

There is a vast network of alumni and community supporters for this team both local to Calgary, and across the country.  The Dinos Legacy is deep.  One of the goals of the team and Alumni Board is to re-activate and engage our greater Alumni and community group to help grow the momentum and energy behind the support of our current team.
